Server shows up in lobby, but wrong port
« on: January 14, 2007, 06:10:28 pm »
Now, you can only join my server if you type the right port, because for some reason the lobby is showing the wrong port. Does anyone know what is wrong?

Your router is doing some kind of NAT.  What brand router do you have?

D-Link
DI624 (revC)

I opened the firewall for ports 6112, 6122, and 6235. In order to get the port tester working, I also had to disable all the router's features such as UPNP, Gaming Mode, PPTP, IPSec, and Multicast Streams. I do not know what they are though :/ How comes the Enesce's port tester works with it, yet the lobby does not? Thanks

It is the fault of you D-Link router.  I believe EnEsCe has mentioned in the past that d-links do some crazy stuff with their NAT which doesn't behave as expected and isn't easily configured to have a working Soldat server.

Just wondering...
I remember EnEsCe replying to a guy who had a d-link and his server had a 1 pop up in the Ex. column. What does that column mean?

I don't know the answer to your question Frenchie. Thanks FLAB for telling me lol. It would be nice if this information was posted somewhere in a sticky. It can save a ton of time, which I wasted trying to do all sorts of crap with my router :( Time to start convincing my dad to get a new router or buy a server ^_^
