TW Cold Morning preview

A lot of people asked me about my next tw map, so i decided to create this topic to keep everyone informed...

Here we go: TW Cold Morning - red team island (zoom 100%).

Currently map is about 80% done. Layout mostly ready, map is waypointed and sceneries are in process. This map will have country landscape with less military elements. I'm trying to use natural obstacles like logs, stones, stubs and swapy areas instead of barbwire. Layout is going to be quite different from all previous tw maps. Central area of the map will be some sort of small village, divided by river into two parts.

New updates are coming soon.
I think i'll post beta-version of the map when i'll be certain about layout.

looks awesome and real. I love that scenery.

My good golly god. How long does it take you to get to sixty percent ? I'm sure that if I had tried something like that it'd take well over a month.

Oooh!! this is A piece of art :o!! It looks so awesome dude...never seen so photorealistic map in my life! Also the forest and the campfire remind me of camping under the midnight sun in an island near my grandmothers place (in finnish lapland).

Two new screenshots added  ;D I hope map'll be ready till the end of next week.

2 TeaBag: There are milions of image processing tutorials throughout the internet, so i think there is no point to make any special scenery tutorials... If you are using Gimp you can try Gimp tutorials.

Looks are nice.

What makes you think that it will be laggy?
Textrure is not same with tw_BattleField...

I think it will be laggy due to the scenery overload that comes with most of your maps.
Offtopic: I challenge you, VirtuallTT to make a map in the default style! :D

PS - Those trees in the BG may be a bit distracting.

I make maps with *default style* only as scetch...

I'm sorry, what I, and I'm sure E_A meant, was loads of scenery = bad framerate

Actually, not scenery, just polygons.

But yeah, scenery can contribute to the framerate (depending on how you place them), but I was mainly talking about the number of polygons.

realness, expects low fps for my computer. I still like it. All your maps are pleasing to look at :D. Its still undecided if thats a good thing or a bad thing o.O
