Some things I hate
« on: January 22, 2007, 10:49:07 pm »
I hate when in CTF mode and instead of the stupid idiots(all of them going for the flag)they go for the flag and dont even guard they own flag and take positions.

I dislike it when they do that too, that I why I am usually the one to block attempts at stealing my flag and end up with more kills then my greedy team mates, there usually in such a hurry they die instantly when storming the enemies base.
There are other worlds than these

They probably do that because when you look at the end result who do you think will get the 'Wow nice one'? The guy who got all the caps or the guy who stopped the other guy from getting the caps?

Go Defence!

I mix it up, I sometimes attack the flag and sometimes defend. I like defending mostly.

I watch this kind of crap happen in most CTF games.

A bunch of my teammates fly off to the other side, leaving the flag open for grabs. Then the opposing team does the same thing my team did and rush in for the flag. I wait patiently for the mob to come and pop them in the skull with my lovely Ruger one by one. When all else fails I chase them down like a rabid dog with my SOCOM.

Wash, rinse, repeat.
Miss your shots, miss your chance.

The best defense is offense. This means that if you want to protect your flag, let no man pass alive while you attack - the only problem with this is that you'll be facing the same enemy two times, which, against a team of 3-4, can be very problematic. Generally it can be a good idea to rush past some people, but only if there's someone behind you. In short, if you're the last man attacking, you're the one who has to finish off any remaining foes.

Well said. I love it when your teams kicking ass and you can just roam the map completely enemy free and then rush into a mass of like 8 people fighting it out in the enemys base. If you can keep that up and cap you know your on a roll. And I mean, when your team arrives to the enemys base and fights, not when they camp.

Because camping sucks.

This is why I like Infiltration. It requires defence and offence, even though it divides the two.

the best strategy is to first rush and then fight the enemy on your way back, that way they won't respawn and fight you again (because they won't catch up)

the last attacker is the luckiest if your teammates are good players since you have the advantage of not getting blasted to pieces straight away by a threesome, instead you might even have 0 enemies left to kill and while they rae respawning you can grab the flag and run at your base where soon enough a new wave will start and protect your way.

Here's something worse: you have each others flag, and your entire team stays at base to defend, making you chance of scoring 0%.

The offense thing sounds better.

So, incase your teammates can't handle the situation, you'll be facing 2 enemies on the way back, and chances are you'll be injured. Or in another case, a stalemate could occour, as the enemy flagger escapes on another route. Chuck Norris would not approve.

Eh. I generally systematically wipe the map clear of life. As in I won't go near the enemy base unless I am sure that I am completely covered at my back, and that there is no chance of flanking to occur. I don't really play defense or offense, unless I am one of the last 1-2 people left. I generally provide support in the middle with my trusty AK and knife.

I dislike it when people make threads about people doing what they want to do in public servers. If this was private, then go ahead and make threads about it but just let people play how they want to play.

As a side note, I defend 90% of the time.

but if the enemy flag is in your base, then you  just let the others go and get the flag and the ones that die, will respawn and help you if you need help.
what i mean is that a flag is better in your base than the flags in their spawn place  because then it's easier to just kill the efc and cap

I said/have said guard the flag and they do the same crap. And if i'm not mistaken a enemy was at my base and a died soldat(soldier) respawned and saw him and just ran for the flag(thats if i'm not mistaken).
