New anti-cheat for Soldat

I am happy to announce that the next version of Soldat will bring some changes in the anti-hacking department. It will contain the anti-cheat engine BattlEye. It is a new library capable of detecting various types of hacks with an automatic update feature to prevent new hacks all the time. Finally Soldat will have a reliable anti-cheat mechanism and I can focus on better things. Read more here: http://battleye.com.

This is very encouraging news, can't wait to see it in action. I wander whether it won't affect ping in-game...

That's great news. I've been getting a little discouraged by the number of people running around with a certain aim bot lately. I'm looking forward to 1.3.2 a lot more now. :)

Hah, didn't even know Soldat had aimbots ;) Anyways, this is t3h awesome !

Does this mean 1.3.2 is going to be released soon ?

It will be released when it is ready.  This thread is not about the release of 1.3.2 but rather about the anti-cheat features.  It is merely an announcement and 1.3.2 will be released when it is ready.

any posts in this thread just asking "zomg when will 1.3.2 be out??" will be deleted.

For signatures, you are allowed only one image in your signature which may not be wider and taller than 300 and 125 pixels, and may not be over 20kB in file size. No BMPs are allowed.

This is good news Michal, an anticheat system was more than necessary.
Now one question: will there be a way to PERMANENTLY ban a cheater from the server?

Cause the way Soldat works today... you ban a cheater, he reconnects his internet to get a new IP.. and goes back to your server to cheat some more.

Quite encouraging news indeed.  MM, I think I have fallen in love with you again.  If BattlEye has proven itself to be a good anti-hack engine in Warsow, surely it must also be good in Soldat!  Especially with the "automatic updates" you have mentioned; I was really convinced by that!

There is still no way to permanently ban a cheater in Soldat. But this Anti-Hack combined with the one I have implemented aswell, should spank those little monkeys pretty quick.
