Aye. Didn't quite read the homepage. I thought MM + someone made this Anti-Cheat engine.

um... no offence but putting a better anti hack system wont stop ppl from hacking. look at punkbuster. that gets scrued up the ass all the time. ppl evolve, and when some thing comes in there way they always find a way around. but meph its worth a shot on your part

never said it wouldn't work. i just saying it probibly wont permantly stop ppl from hacking it. thats all

This is just what Soldat needed to step up in the ranks of free online games: an active anti-hack engine. Soon, perhaps, us honest players can get some piece of mind out of the lack of the pathetic little hackers.

Finally. I am so tired of speed/aim/tele/speckill/etc. hacks. Hopefully this will bring players who left because of hacks back into the community.

Soldat is meant to be fun, and people who develop hacks just to claim that they are "1e3t" need to get what is coming to them.

Two more questions:

1- Somebody asked me what would happen if he blocked the IP of the BattlEye update server so that the BE client couldn't get updates. I answered him that probably the Soldat Server also talks to the BE server to get the version number of the latest definitions... and if you try to play with an outdated version you're gonna get kicked until you update it. Is that how it works?

2- This is a server admin question for Enesce: is it possible (or will it be possible) to add an event to the PERL Scripting System that gets fired when the server is notified of a cheater? The event would fire, passing along the player ID, this way we can decide what to do with the cheater: kick, ban, log his IP/nickname to a file and a lot of other possibilities. If this was not on the plans, consider it as a suggestion then.

No system is flawless. Not even VAC. You have to understand that.

Punkbuster just isn't that good. It's only popular. I think it got voted off by a petition from the community in Call of Duty 2.
