Changes:
- Added Anti-Hack to prevent "Spectator Cheat"
- Added Anti-Hack to prevent "Shooting Knives"
- Added Anti-Hack to prevent cheaters joining Charlie/Delta
- Some other fixes for bugs like /gamemode crashing

This is only a hack fix version.
(Minor fix to prevent false detections of knives)

NOTE: The archive only contains a linux and windows binary, so you must already have 2.5.2 to upgrade to this version.

does the third thing in the list prevent admins from making people in alpha / bravo from joining delta / charlie?

I used to like doing that. Anyway, thanks for an update with hack preventions.

No, it doesn't; the changelog is specific in that it's a bug/hack fix only, with no new features.

Does that mean servers with a (WM) like the one that shoots knives with a ruger (srry i can't remember the server's name) can't do this anymore?

it says anti hack, and WM isn't hack , so no it won't be affected

As Krillious said, no, weapon mods are unaffected. And as a bonus, autos can now be weapon modded to fire knives without players triggering knife cheat kick (as they could previously), so miniguns firing knives is a go.

Um, after playing one gather with this server update, i had to disable AntiCheatKick. Server was kicking me for possible cheat when i throwed the knife in random occasions. It only happend to me, maybe it's because i have 200+ ping.

Will have to be looked into; lag is probably the reason. In the meantime, try not to lag.

I doubt lag is the reason. After Soldat Gather servers were upgraded to 2.5.3 today various people with relatively small pings (16-50), including me, got "cheat kicked" for more than once. I also had to disable the anticheatkick as a temporary solution.

yeah.. i too have seen it happen a lot ... with people of whom I dont THINK they hack. but obviously Im not them so I cant be 100% sure!
... still it seems likely that something isnt quite right with the 253

Actually, knife hits doesn't work for me, neither for my team mates, something really is wrong with 2.5.3 me thinks (everything worked just fine with 2.5.2).

Me too. I was now kicked for possible cheat with like 33-50 pings when I was trying to throw the knife. Also, I've seen some innocent people kicked in 2.5.3. Needs fixing...

Hmm, strange. I haven't got kicked from anywhere because of the knife.. Tho, I haven't played THAT much, around a bit more than hour a day on 2.5.3 server.

Yeah, it's buggy. I downgraded my servers back to 2.5.2
