Expanded Stats

In addition to the kill logs, it would be cool to be able to calculate/view such things as accuracy, number of rounds fired, head/torso/leg hits, % damage done, etc... I guess its kinda like a lot of other games out there but it would be sweet.

Probably too complicated so I dont have my hopes up about it being implemented... :-\

i wouldnt mind being able to see stuff like this in postgame, for instances, halo 2(i know bad ex.) has like headshots, percent of hits to miss, number of double kills, trpiles, etc... i wish this was in soldat

Isn't that pretty much what it is? I dunno wtf a spork is, I suppose it's way weaker than the pistol since you compared that to this.

Firstly, coders are respected members of the community, don't refer to them as nerds :P

Secondly, this would have been done already if it was possible. More information needs to be added to the gamelogs for it to work.

I spoke to EnEsCe about this, and have thought about it before.

Putting this information into the kill logs for every kill would make the logs far too huge, and consume a lot of disk space for anyone that runs multiple active servers.

What I did mention instead, was have Echo_Kills be able to have a "2" setting, where this information would be echoed to the admin socket connection.  This way, nothing has to be written to a file for all of this information, but it can be read by any script/program just listening on a socket connection.

If this data was ever going to be put into stats, it would be done that way.

That nerd would have to be Michal and/or Enesce.

Counter-Strike does log this stuff.
I think that logparser Psychostats shows this kind of information. But I never looked at the logs to see how they're formatted and how much space they take.

well since your using the net anyway, you should be able to make an online log. at the end of every match the info gets sent out to the log. this way you can see other peoples percentage... plus it would use up your space.

yeah that would be pretty nifty.  The headshot thing should also be shown in the kill log at the very end of the game (based on your computer (or server if it's too ez to hack)).  I'm sure such a feature will be available soon  ;)

if your concerned about it clouding up your comp, just make a check box to turn it off, simple enough eh? great idea. i love how CSS does this, and yes, Halo 2 does too. know doubles, triples, knifes (lol humiliating in CSS), and if you check weapon stats, it should give oyu how many rounds fired and hit %, kills with it and how many times you died with it. wait, this is sounding ALOT like U13 servers... why cant they enter this info ingame?
