Looks very awesome. I'm yet to try it in a real game, but it really does look quite great. I'll try it later today though. Good job man. 8)

I honestly don't now the reason why you are ignoring those map developing possibilities provided by soldat and pw... Well soldat graphics are really out of date but trying to make it even more ascetic is too much...
This map is extrimely boring and angular... Layout is simple but in spite of this map is not waypointed...

Because I am sure that there are other people that fell in love with the default mapping style, and those who care more about the gameplay than the fancy graphics. Just ask some of the 1.0.5 guys... or just dig up some old image of the average map back then.

I think the map looks pretty good, though I have yet to try it out. I see you did those Boxo-style spraying solutions again. Anyhow, looks great. :)

I don't know any person except *veterans* who likes default soldat graphics... Visual fulfilment is one of the most important part of the gameplay... And this map looks same with old 1.0.5 maps...  It's like almost no progress...

I personaly do enjoy artistic maps, but playing the devil's advocate I'd have to say there are some serious problems as to where maps are heading. People without ultra-modern PCs are lagging very badly behind those who do, in online play at least, due to the large size or concentration of art on maps. I think it's a good refresher to have some default-ish maps like this come out, it reminds people that we're playing a game and not trying to get the best overview rating.

The preferred outcome of war is peace. Ironic, huh ?

This is still better than the default maps. The truth is I don't like the default maps with some irregular(unnatural) vertice colors and such, but the rest( such as airpirates) are okay with me, just like this map. I really love it and it's a shame it isn't waypointed.

Absolutely not. In that case yours would be the best, most fun and playable maps ever. Going overboard with "visual fulfillment" isn't progress, it's what's killing originality and good level design. Raithah has a good point too.

And why do you think it's the veterans anyway? Because they're the ones who know the game the best.

I love Boxo.

Aww

Has a decent basic idea but you didn't smooth it enough like i showed, still jagged and pretty boring to move around in.

Playtested it, the only problem with it is that the lower route is too slow compared to mid and high ;(

The layout on the upper path is pretty weird, IMO :P I still don't like your almost perfect polygonal symmetry, and having humongous barrels support the land masses which seem to be natural is a bit odd. Nice job on the upper bridges, but otherwise, this's probably one of your few maps I don't like, heh

Nightcrawler: have you tried uploading your maps via FTP to the server? Transfer all the files coming with the map download to the server and it should work. Otherwise, maybe go to the server help subsection of the forums and elaborate on your problem.

Go here to discuss my server problem. I don't want to do it in someone's map topic.
But, yeah, your map is awesome, and hopefully i can get it to work on my server.

gonna have to disagree with you on that one, vtt, my favorite default map is kampf, and that does NOT have this visual fulfillment you speak of.

As for the map I think you should add another route to the lower route from the middle of the top. Just to get rid of the whole blukk thing...

Oh yah i love the bridge btw
