Random guess here.

Your ex isn't the ideal person she wants to be, but she tries. Enjoys fantasy and escape from reality, but not to the point where she would lose her ideal self. Watches and enjoys anime, and possibly has some enjoyment with gaming and the whole Kingdom Hearts fiasco. Obviously an artistic interest, otherwise pencil wouldn't have met paper.

Despite this, she went to the trouble of drawing something up for you. Either she's trying to hint at something, by drawing some fictional chick with what looks like a massive key behind her back, or she just appreciates your creative input that much. Can you think of anything she might be hinting at?

I pretty much second Geo.

I sense kingdom hearts all over that picture. What I find rather interesting about it is that the girl carries the big key(blade) at the back instead of any other position, as though hiding it.

This just in! I sent her Geo's comment saying I showed her pic to a friend of mine and that's what he said and she replied with this:

"well,yes...

I want to be how i wan't but i hate critisisim even when it's suposed to be constructive. I like kingdom hearts but...it's not an obsession but the graphics are cool. I love art in a lot of forms.
And the picture... I drew it because I'm saying i love you but... I can be strong on my own when i have to. Just Curious though...What did you think I'm hinting at?"

Just my general perception here. It doesn't sound like she really means love when she says love. It sounds to me like, to her, love means togetherness and relationship, because she contrasts it with being apart from you and "strong on [her] own". Logical conclusion: if she doesn't understand what love is, I doubt that she loves, or could love you.
Then again, I'm going off one lone sentence.

As for figuring out what the hell she's hinting at, you've got me. Since all you have to go on is a standard portrait (you know, standing, looking forward, nothing terrifically innovative), I'd guess that she doesn't expect you to divine her deepest secrets from it.

I'll take this opportunity to note that it's weird because I'm still forming my impression of you and then you get this really feminine avatar and I need to constantly remind myself that you're male.
