Destroy the Bunker Mode

This is a new mode for Soldat. Destructible Objects should be placed inside tunnels and enclosed areas. Bravo team must prevent Alpha from destroying these objects. If they are destroyed, the bunker has officially fallen. Bravo team must survive the game time limit to win.

THINGS THAT SHOULD NOT BE SUGGESTED HERE: Destructible terrain, liquids, VEHICLES, mobile polygons (these would require a gigantic map format change as already covered above, they would be huge changes to gameplay which would disgust many players, even more glitches would result from them, etc.)

This comes pretty close to actual infiltration, it's just easyer for Alpha.

But I could imagine that as pretty funny, maybe find another way without destructable shizzle.

Yeah, sorry but Horve's right :P This would require a map format change (to be able to place interactive objects, and also the coding for them as well), which will not be implemented unless MM specifically says so. Sorry.

yeah the DB idea is from Call of cuty, i liked it personally, but the fact that soldat cant have destructiable terrain restricts is. else nice... you could play this with many blue team flags in the field? after all of them have been captured, red team has won

Hmmm.... The flag idea sounds pretty decent. And I think Horve was just making a point, I don't feel he was TOO hard. I think I'll try to make this with the flags.

I don't see that being a problem as current maps without any interactive element would still be without and not require any changes. The Soldat program itself would decipher if a PMS file had such and such used before implementing it in game. At least, that's what I think. :P Still don't ever see this happening though.

I already tried that for !Elite Party, and from my experience people just end up confused. Plus, while it usually works, there will be times here and there that the random flag will get returned by the player holding the enemy flag instead of scoring it when touched.

I agree, soldat doesn't any more modes although Napalmi's idea sounds Awesome!!!
Another thing I would love for TW is a system Company of Heroes uses (although that's an RTS) like 3 or 4 points on the map, which have to be captured. The team which has the most points controlled earns x points per x time (or the other team loses x points per x time untill it reaches zero). But I'm sure that has been suggested before.

When you think of all the sub-gamemodes that people like Avarax cook together... i doupt MM will have to add new gamemodes....
