Laaaag, any ways/tips of reducing?

Getting ping kicked is the most common thing that happens to me. I get pinged kicked more than I breathe. :-[ :-[ Are there any ways or tips of reducing ping? ???

Not have 56k, don't have other programs running in the background, and make sure the server is on the same continent as you.  ;)

Since I know your Aussie, stick to Aussie servers (GA, Xtra vK, <3 etc...). That and get broadband. And what SDFilm said.

sort your server selection by ping and pick the ones below 100 ping.

ohhhhh i c. I don't have dial-up, we just got adsl installed, but i have two computers and my brother uses the other. That's what probably lags my computer bacause his downloading affects my computer aswell because its on the same adsl account.

Try googling for a programme called 'All Seeing Eye'. ... its a multi-game 'lobby' viewer basically. It works with Soldat, and most servers support it by default, so you can see advanced stats on servers....namely, what country they're from.

And yeah, someone else downloading or uploading on the same connection will have a somewhat dire effect on your game.

If he is downloading, that will make you lag badly with almost 100% certainty, no matter how close the server is to you
