Yeah, your thinking of race maps. They are not nearly as popular as climb but they are out there.

Well you could make a map where people use the Ice poly slide bug to rocket themselves into a jump polygon at an angle, and see how far they can go. But I doubt a single long jump would be fun to play for more than 5 minutes.
