DM Bandit
« on: February 09, 2007, 06:03:01 am »
It got messed up in overview. Just like a undone map that is similar to Bigfalls and RatCave, and there was no plan of layout in making, though they are alike in appearance but different a bit. Playability is all right, for 3-5 players. Waypointed. It's difficult to make a fresh map..

Wow, that's really nice, great style. It's about bloody time you started mapping again. How about a ctf map?

Not bad, I like it since jungle maps are superior in my opinion.
Your polygons placement technique still fits the game and impresses me. ;)
I just don't really understand the white colour here and there, and the empty spaces too, but overall it's fine.
Good job.

Consider the white as a surface of rock. It looks rock and moss to me.
And the blank space is a kind of spice in layout. The right one is for sniper somehow.

The simple poly structure and scenery placement are refreshing.  Welcome back, chakapoko.  Hope you stay for good.

Defaultish and kick-arse, great map!

Want to know why it looks defaultish ? Take a look-on over to all those default maps, and guess who made 'em :)

On a related note, could Chakapo do a litte speech on how maps are getting unplayable now ? They're nice and all, but on any non-modern computer your toast. His have always seemed ... down-to-earth, easy to play and easy on the eyes. I'd love to see more maps like this.

The thing is that its not to mush scenery or a to complex map that's default. (my opinion)
No one could say that cft_de_dust its default not even Avatarx.

It seems bad to mention how a map get worse. About a good map, I think Michal Marcinkowski's map is a model. They have no discontent. So sometimes I open them with mapmaker and see the polygon arrangement. I can't make a map as good as he does. Concerning it, I'm just a plagiarist. But it is the way to show it defaultish. The asian piracy power owns.
