Scenery opacity?
« on: February 03, 2007, 10:13:40 pm »
I can't change the opacity of my scenery.  In the little properties box I change it to like 50%, but it makes no difference.  What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

(Btw, the original Q was different, I edited it. ;) )

Am I just supposed to slide the texture around so that it fits in the poly?  That's what I think it says but it doesn't seem right.  This would mean that it needs to use alot of different polys right?

No, that's not how they work (and you'd have a heck of a time trying to work them manually that way! :P). Follow the second link in Anna's post step-by-step; it explains how multitextures work at an effectively rudimentary level.

Yeah, set a # and press Enter to realize it. That's needed for the Palette window as well as the Properties window when adjusted for scenery.
