I just went to the dentist a couple of hours ago and got my cavity drilled. I didn't get it from eating 5000 pieces of candy however; it seems that my tooth formed that way. I wish i had gotten it from eating all that candy though... It didn't take that long just I was waiting in the waiting room(duh) and I heard this guy who sounded like he was getting the same thing. I kinda heard a little whimper of grunt or something and then I heard the drill go on. The most annoyingly loudest tool there and I started to get nervous. It was okay though, getting the anesthetic hurt more than the drill and all the rest. Now my lip feels like velvet. Mmmmm...something this pleasurable can't be right. It's starting to wear off though, then I can eat again!

I got 4 cavities But my dad won't take me to the dentist because he thinks it will cost too much.

I've been to the dentist enough to deal with the frickin' needle. They shove it a few inches into my gums, and then it's just a matter of sitting still.

The never give me enough... or they are drilling right on the danged nerve. Either way I just sit there and take it till its done.

never really had cavities drilled or whatever but i got a filling which was drilled out and put in again and aside from that i've only ever been having check ups...does that make me a dental veteran?

lol ive had 4 teeth removed and like 5 fillings lol
i dont really feel anything but once there was this noob dentist and he was fucking weak and he couldnt pull out my tooth lol and it felt weird

my dentist said the hole wasn't so deep... and tranquilizers wouldn't be needed... I've never been in such pain in whole my life.

Almost 1 year ago I was getting my bracers i have now, to get them i had to pull out 4 teeth two 4s above and two 5s down. I had to go four times, one for each tooth. The first three went ok but on the last one they didn't give me enough of the painkiller shot and I was like "what the heck I can make it" so I didn't say anything. But It hurt like hell when the dentist was wiggleing it ~10 minutes and before that they cut down to the root with some kind of knifeish thing.

I had my wisdom teeth surgically removed from under the gums. It was actually alright because it got me off a week of school at the time.

Sure, there was that whole thing with spending most of the week bedridden and more or less unable to eat, but...

**** zero.. I was at the dentist today and they told me that both my lower wisdom teeth were growing horisontally towards the jaw(other teeth). It would've become sort of like a lathe if they hadn't seen it.

Bah... I cant be bothered to brush my teeth. It's a waste of time and it hurts my gums >_<...

And those of you who think the needle hurts, try gettin your finger ripped open on rusty metal

...

I did and it almost ripped my finger in half.

Getting your teeth straight is worth it. And it's not that annoying. I've had braces for 2,5 years now and I'm getting them off sometime in spring or early summer. My teeth were a mess before I got them, it took a while, but they're finally fixed.

Do braces actually straighten teeth or hold them in place so they grow straight? Cuz my front teeth are crooked and they've already all grown.

Braces constantly put pressure on your teeth so they'd move to their right place. I had a tooth that was pretty close to the ceiling of the mouth and now it's in its right position. if you got crooked teeth just get braces, they will feel uncomfortable at first, but you won't notice them after a few weeks.
