I need suggestions for songs to get, Fast-paced, yet heavy like static-x.

Heavy Metal, I say go with the 80's classics.

Also try Mercyful Fate, Venom, etc.

Just browse through that list until you find a band that you already listen to. Then search the other bands in that genre, or genre's that are near it on the spectrum. On a scale of hardness, it goes from weak being top left, and hard being bottom right.

A few of those lists aren't right. Like Black Metal, they only state "Norwegian Black Metal" which is dumb because there are many other Black Metal bands that came from outside of Norway, usually in West Europe. These started in the early 90's. Plus Cradle Of Filth are not from Norway, they are from Britian, and they suck ass.

There should be a, "Second Wave Of Black Metal" listed as well. Since mid-90's Black Metal bands from Norway came much later, inspired by older Black Metal, and other elements are used too, folkish related material and such.

On topic, I say try out the, "First Wave Of Black Metal" stuff. Mercyful Fate, Venom and Celtic Frost have alot of thrash, speed and death metal in them. Bathory has Black Metal stuff, and later progresses into amazing Viking Metal. Celtic Frost suck now, I suggest sticking to their 80's albums only.

This is the grimmest, most unholiest black metal ever created. It's also the noisiest, so you most likely will not enjoy this. BUT, if you are angry at something, then this is the one to listen to!! It's from Beirut, Lebanon too. They've got balls making unholy blakk metal in Lebanon.

More craziness, has more form, just as fast paced though!

Emancer - Explicit Repugnance
Really mild, well produced, if you don't like the others then you might still like this.

Yeah.

Btw, try In Flames. My current fav. some of the songs are:
-touch of red
-cloud connected
-evil in a closet

Also try children of bodom. really fast paced.

Yeah i listen to Disturbed.

To n00bface: I never knew Folk music + metal could be such a powerful combination.

Stuff like Emancer, not very loud, but really heavy and fast paced I like. Thanks n00bface and everyone else who posted here sofar.

I do listen to some children of bodom, but I can't find one of their songs.
