it should stay the same....longer and you would have to go make a ham sandwich in between mouse press and fire, shorter, and the barrett would become less balanced like when it was with no delay (only not so much :p)
Your acting like your having a duel and your opponent gets a pistol and you get a spork.
Isn't that pretty much what it is? I dunno wtf a spork is, I suppose it's way weaker than the pistol since you compared that to this.

Yeah, the delay's fine as it is.

By the way, with such an obvious interest in the Barret, you should probably learn to spell its name.

nice post zamorak, i like that site. guns are awesome. and Beuwulf RB, where did you come from? its always been barret. a berret is an award in the army, like green berret. you must have your army/guns mixed up. not a huge deal tho. everyone is different. do you play it in a different language?

barret could use a bit longer delay, that or even more bink, barreters always use the barret as any other weapon, not as a sniper even though both can be annoying.

It's supposed to be a weapon, pls. NO longer delay or bink.. It's already next to useless in CW's.

In real life you couldn't fire while standing up, you know. Barrett is fine, the delay is awesome.

The barret is supposed to be hard to master. If the delay is shorter, it will be REAL cheap!

Well, it's supposed to be a first strike weapon.  What's hard is supposed to be the recoil.  But anyway that's real life.

The delay really cuts the range advantage alittle (the enemy will reaches your screen by the time you fire, if u miss ur gonna be FUBAR).  However the delay is also a good safety-catch.

Since it's all for 'safety', i think the delay is fine, althought cutting it 0.5 or less sec short is also fine with me.

Do you guys even know how short the delay is? Its half a minigun delay, which is half a second. A QUARTER OF A DAMN SECOND like 15 miliseconds

The delay on the Barret is pretty irrelevant.  The firerate and delay are effective at limiting this weapons use, and I think it's fine as it is.
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.
