Animation with the gimp.

My friend and I have been using the gimp for a while now, and we wanted to know how much we sucked :P This is a sun going super nova in reality a super nova does not disappear for weeks-months, but we are not that pacient.

Use Jasc Animation Shop... Indefinitely one of the best gif creation programs there is...

I think Albinoblacksheep has a link for it.

It's the only program I've ever been able to stick with long enough to finish any gifs.

Is Jasc free ? Because Gimp is, and it is very good for the price payed. In addition to that, it can do a direct conversion between a movie and a GIF using the GAP extension :).

Nice work man.

Gimp is an awesome program. Whatever photoshop can do, gimp can do also. And its free.

I guess that is why the light effect i used was called "Super Nova"

they call it stupid things like that because they want it to sound cool.
supernovas take weeks to complete, and in the end there is usually a cloud of schmukk around where it was, not just nothing.
