Today, just like every other day, I jump into a server, and guess what I see...
Every second player with a bloody M79! NOw, this is typical in every server, so I take no notice of it. I pull out my trusty AK, and start blasting at a few base invaders, and out of nowhere comes this M79 nade. BOOM! There I go, split into a million pieces...I have a grumble and keep playing. This time I choose the Minigun, and proceed to batter the Bastar ds who had just stolen my flag. before I'd even had a chance to move, some twat flys right over the top of my teams spawn area, and M79s me and countless other teammates. So I call in some help and a fellow teammate takes him out with barret...

This has happened to me, and prolly many other people, and its what screws this game up. instant ONE HIT KILLS from those sort of weapons, are just inapropriate. Barret isn't that bad, but so many people abuse the M79, and it doesn't require ANY skill, I don't care what anyone says. My siter (who's played soldat for the first time the other day, and she chose the M79!, and she literally PWNed every bloody bot ( and me) with it. so, I call for either, more self damage on this weapon, or make the damge less...or totally remove it from the game all together...

Man...I used the m79 from 1.1.4 to now 1.3.1
and still i can miss...
its maybe me that sucks or its just the weapon...
but still you need to have skill to use the m79..

you cant just shoot straight forward...it have a curved..hm what shall i say?

WELL just get it m79 is great and many will use it!

Else get some matrix skill and dodge the bulllleeettss!!

I agree that the M79 is REALLY annoying but because I usually use barret, I kill them first cuz I got better range.  The M79 has too short of a reload - and yes, every noob uses it because at short distances it's rather hard to miss.  But the annoying weapon should still though be kept - just sligthly messed with to make it not so strong.

EVERY gun has a curved line. the M79's just happens to be smaller. and i agree with everyone thta the M79 is a gun thta requires absolutely no skill whatsoever. i seriously think MM should remove it from the game altogether, and see what the noobs say then lol... but i acually think MM is grinning at us complaining... =[

hey maybe if the servers have like a limit on how many m79's are actually being played with it will get rid of some m79ers.

this can get annoying, but I always wip out my ruger or mp5 and get multikills wenever I see a m79 armada flying over my head.

MM will never remove any gun, and it's really retarded to say that it takes absolutley no skill.  every gun can be used a more efficiently with practice, even the barrett and m79.  Sure it's an easy gun to get good with and a lot of noobs like being able to deal with their enemy quick, but if you suck with it you'll usually get 1 shot off then get killed.  You have to know how to stratagize with it if you want to last long.  and I'd also like to point out that nailing people from a screenwidth away in midair with the m79 is not easy, so if your playing against expierienced players they will stay high up and far away against m79rs and make them easy to take out.

I was getting sick of it too, but that's when I decided to make my new M79 and Law server hoping that it will help out in eliminating them from other servers.  It's a start

they dont usually kill me if one or two are on a team. but i absolutely fucking hate it when the whole opposing team is using it. it makes it impossible to get out of base. many noobs and m79 users say "uh-huh, its strategy". kiss my ass. thats not strategy, its spawncamping and abuse of a one hit kill weapon. thats why i like the barret 110% more than the m79. the barret doesnt have an explosion and takes longer to reload. the m79 is completely retarded, i seriously wish MM never put it in... the rocket launcher will get your explosion fills. you dont need a primary explosion-bonanza too... even when m79ers are on your team, they bink you and blast you where you dont wanna go. overall, 98% of the M79 population is completely noob. and they think they're hella cool for using it too.

at least the other day i showed an m79er how autos pwn it. it was deathmatch, with roughly 5-9 people on it. he was in the lead when i joined, had exactly 40 kills. about 20 minits later, we both tied at about 130, then i took a rocket lead, because his noob gun took forever to reload, and he got pissed and kept chasing me lol and died each time. i left when i was about at 220, and he barely had 160 ROFL he tried to use the gun i was using after about when i passed him. ROFL its funny to see a full-time m79 noob pull out an AUG and TRY to get some kills... lol. i pwned him. it was funny. i felt like i showed all m79ers a lesson just thru him. plz noobs, go for the barret. its more fair.

That backflip was implemented for a reason, with it I personally think it's quite easy to dodge M79 grenades...

It's a grenade launcher. It explodes, you can't possibly make the damage less. And besides, in Soldat, M79 ammo always kills on direct hits, much like LAW ammo. The only thing Sir Marcinkowski can do about it is maybe increase the bink or reload time.

ok air139...its m79 lol... and ruger and  chainsaw and nades and deagles arent 1 hit kill. ruger is 2 unless u get head shot(i believe). deagles take 2-3. chainsaw takes 3-4. nades depend on where u get hit.

and btw, m79 is easiest weapon to evade i think. just stay out of there 4 inch circle and shoot at them. if you cant do that then well....you suck at dodging. if they run at you just throw a nade in the path of there m79. it will cause a mid air explosion and possibly kill an m79'r

here is my weapons mod i made that makes m79 a bit easier to evade since they cant randomly shoot.

I disagree with jettlarue. Limiting M79 usage would generate even more complaints because with the reload-upon-pickup change you wouldn't be able to use any M79s, and I grab 'em from corpses a lot.

Maybe you just suck in Soldat and your sister is better? U never thought about it? I don't have any problems with M79s when I use autos.

I only play R/S it's the only way to go, there are  more expeierenced players (generally) in R/S....

In realsitic all those weps are <b>capable</b> of 1 hit kills, you just have to aim, and any wepeon can kill you in a few hits, even the socom is only 3 hit kills,  this reduces the comodity on "super weps" and causes players to branch out and learn more effective weps.

The only reason i ever use an m97 is for blasting clumps of zombies, or if i need that unique vector they have
