Indeed the M79 requires a hefty bit of skill. BUT - As I see it - in public games where the general levels of evasion, accuracy, experiance, positioning, multitasking and such crap ain't so high, and there's such a huge pack of players, one can find oneself without bullets, jets nor momentum at times and suddenly being blown up by an M79 from such a short range that even Major can point and click.

M79 is supposed to be a tactical weapon. It's supposed to take out guard towers and trenches in a single blow, which it does. Add a higher reload delay.

lets make every gun have 30 bullets and all them same stats !!!.....this is why m79 topics piss me off. maybe 1/5 of second increase in reload and a 30% increase of selfbink.
Today, just like every other day, I jump into a server, and guess what I see...Every second player with a bloody M79! NOw, this is typical in every server, so I take no notice of it. I pull out my trusty AK, and start blasting at a few base invaders, and out of nowhere comes this M79 nade. BOOM! There I go, split into a million pieces...I have a grumble and keep playing. This time I choose the Minigun, and proceed to batter the Bastar ds who had just stolen my flag. before I'd even had a chance to move, some twat flys right over the top of my teams spawn area, and M79s me and countless other teammates. So I call in some help and a fellow teammate takes him out with barret...This has happened to me, and prolly many other people, and its what screws this game up. instant ONE HIT KILLS from those sort of weapons, are just inapropriate. Barret isn't that bad, but so many people abuse the M79, and it doesn't require ANY skill, I don't care what anyone says. My siter (who's played soldat for the first time the other day, and she chose the M79!, and she literally PWNed every bloody bot ( and me) with it. so, I call for either, more self damage on this weapon, or make the damge less...or totally remove it from the game all together...
ok air139...its m79 lol... and ruger and chainsaw and nades and deagles arent 1 hit kill. ruger is 2 unless u get head shot(i believe). deagles take 2-3. chainsaw takes 3-4. nades depend on where u get hit.and btw, m79 is easiest weapon to evade i think. just stay out of there 4 inch circle and shoot at them. if you cant do that then well....you suck at dodging. if they run at you just throw a nade in the path of there m79. it will cause a mid air explosion and possibly kill an m79'rhere is my weapons mod i made that makes m79 a bit easier to evade since they cant randomly shoot.Damage=165000FireInterval=180Ammo=4ReloadTime=-1Speed=110BulletStyle=4StartUpTime=0Bink=25MovementAcc=3 it makes it so the m79er only has 4 m79's. then they need to use there secondary. i personally do not need to have this, but for others it seems to help them. all the best to you balancers
Bink is there so when you're getting shot at with an auto, your aim will decrease / your shot is not gonna go where you aim.
