Very few servers play advance.
These servers are often in conjunction with another subGame mode, (R/A, S/A, R/S/A).
Noone wants to start from scratch, because although it balances in the beginning, the person who kills, (or in some cases, hacks) the modt wins.
I had an idea recently, an inverse advance mode, "Balance," In which you would start with all the weapons on both teams, and the the player/team that makes the the Balance amount kill loses a weapon. This way, it would keep the game balanced for new players, so they don't make the unpleasant change from newb to noob.
