meh...print screen doesn't work...
« on: March 10, 2007, 02:03:01 am »
I've got a good map, but I can't release it until I take a screenshot of it. I opened Polyworks, pressed the Print Screen button, which is 'prt sc' to me. And then I opened Paint, which is a simple program if you know what I mean and I think you do. And I pressed Ctrl+V, and nothing happens. Any ideas?

Do you have a standard keyboard?  I had this problem on a special media keyboard I had and it turned out that it i wanted to use any of the F1-F12 keys or special keys like print screen I had to shut off a program first.  the program made them do things like save, or print in a word proccessor.

Does your cursor disappear for that moment you press PrtSc? Maybe your key doesn't connect properly. Or maybe you have to press special function key? (laptops only)

Click the keybord like crazy (not alt+f4 or alt+tab though) and it might work..
Lapis: You need a vacation or a bullet though the head both works just fine by me.

Nah...the cursor doesn't disappear. Anything else?

Cursor always disappear when you press print screen (anyone ever seen a screenshot with cursor?). So i think it doesn't work.

It disappear unles you don't have a cursor from some fancy program...

@zaraza: I just tried hitting Prt/Scr right now. The cursor didn't disappear at all, although when pasted it indeed didn't show in the pic.

Try [ALT] + Prt/Scr, maybe?

No it doesn't.
You can use some applications like ClipTray (it also allow to store several items in clipboard) to take screenshots if PrtScr button doesn't work.

EDIT: Now the cliptray won't work! An error occurs: "This instance already exists." D:
;D This means that cliptray is already working...
