Flyby Knifing

I think that when running quickly at an enemy with knife when you are right in front of them you should be able to tap the throw button and kill them. Now it just messes up when I try it and I have to fully charge it,

you can.     If you tap it it just tosses it a little ways, I do this all the time.

Ya but it never kills. Over all I like then knife improvement

yeah.. tapping it doesn't do enough damage. I just do it the same as before the throw was changed... time the throw about 1 second before. I have drop weapon in an easy to use place so it doesn't interfere with my other controls.

You are all wrong:  what we REALLY need is relative speed damage - if you're standing and an enemy just ran past you and you throw the knife at max speed it, realistically, shouldn't kill the enem cuz the knives speed relative to the running guy isn't fast enough.

lol, I was confused at what you guys were saying about the knife not killing when just tapping the throw button when I remembered I only play realistic mode.  It's always 1 hit kill there,

you use the knife in realistic? I'd have thought socom would be much better. To each his own, I guess

The damage value of the knife is somewhat diminished in realistic but it has to be the most fun weapon to hit someone from behind with while they aren't looking.

I'm usually dead before I get to throw the knife in realistic lol... they don't want to wait for me to throw it meanies. It is my favourite weapon though :>

No I mean in normal mode. (PS in realistic saw is the funnest cause you can saw peeps from behind )
