Removing the arch would make it even worse. The arc is what makes it what it is. Removing it would punish the really skilled ones and help the noobs being annoying, as it is now easier to hit people the way they do it. Their range in tunnels have been increased and they could easily hit someone in the air. No, the M79 noobs are annoying already. Don't make it worse.

@Kryp -- go buy some skills. use /command to bring up the commands.

I still think that the best solution for the m79 is either a slight delay or Bink. Or both, ofcourse tweaked a bit...
I just don't get it why he m79 virtually has no bink. I think that it should be bigger and if a player is skilled(or lucky) enought he'll kill you before you can shoot him. Thats what the M79 is for...

Personally, I use it with knife as a secondary. I ussualy throw the knife first, pick up another weapon, then shoot the m709 and pick another weapon. It's usually 2 bonus kills IMO...

If the m79 shot fast, would you not have to give it a ridiculous amount of binc, movement acc, reload time as well as a cool down time and add a start up time?

If you tried the modifications I did to the M79, you'll notice how harder and more complicated the weapon is to use.  Its almost done, just have to do a little more testing.

The m79 does not need to be harder to use, it needs to be harder to shoot someone dead from point blanc, the arc is perfect as is.

I just added this implement because there are plenty of M79 noobs playing on-line.  With this modification, they'll resort to different weapons.

considering the average m79 noob either camps in an enclosed space and aims for the only way in, or rushes right up to point blanc and kills himself and his victim like a freaking suicide bomber, I doubt this would reduce the amount of unskilled people using them, only the skilled m79 users, who only shoot from range in open spaces.
