Removing Friendly Fire A.I.?
« on: March 28, 2007, 05:52:52 pm »
Hi. I'm making a Soldat mod, and one of the weapons is a giant Morphine Needle which does negative damage. (Thus healing people. Medic Class yay! :D). Unfortunately, whenever I try to heal the Soldat bots, their A.I. thinks I'm shooting them and they give me a face full of lead. >.>;

Is it possible to remove the bots' friendly fire A.I. so we can all live in gore and harmony? :-\

Interesting idea...

Turn off Friendly Fire in the game options. There is no other way, and also realize that bots who use the Morphine Needle (more like "Cannon," lol) will use it "against" enemies, especially if it is a primary.

Thanks for getting back to me, Keron. Unfortunatly, when Friendly Fire is turned off, the bullets don't register as hitting the allied bots, and the Morphine Cannon (that name might just stick! :D) doesn't heal them.

Oh well. I guess it'll only work in multiplayer. Unfortunate. :/

Oh, that's right, huh?... in that case there's no way, unless you hide behind a collider while healing. Then there's always the chance that they'll toss a 'nade... dang.
