Maybe some of you are fine with how the Soldat community is going, maybe some of you don't mind the ass holes because you are one yourself. Whatever it is, I'd like to find some way we can change it. I'd invest serious time into helping this community if I knew how.

Woah, wait a second. You're implying that this community are the ones being assholes and such? Whether you believe it or not, the majority of the Soldat community actually isn't a part of this forum. Maybe there are some of the assholes here, but the forum community is relatively well-mannered compared to some of the slime you see out there.

I'm generally a friendly guy. My problem isn't that I'm getting in argument after argument with noobs it's that the online Soldat community SUCKS. A lot of my old school friends have quit because of these people who start playing on their servers and the admins do nothing about it. I'm really the only person left that actually plays because this is an awesome game.

That being said, we can all agree there is a lot of players that are just getting on Soldat to annoy people. And we can also all agree that this is scaring off some new players. People like me, who get frustrated easy will not stay long in a game like this if they just started playing. I don't remember what version I started on, pre-1.2 for sure. But then I didn't encounter as many people like today. There was more friendly players then and it was pretty easy to make good friends. In fact I still talk to a lot of people from Soldat.

We get rid of every person that plays.... we can all play bots!  Seriously its the best idea ever!

The fact is that if you get a handful of people together on the internet, a few of them will be assholes.  Its the simple fact that people use games and such to vent little teeny anger on people over the internet.  Being as asshole to the assholes will only encourage them since most of the time they like the drama. Seriously just play for fun.... that is why so many people have stayed. We like to have fun.

Oh and to add one more thing, elitist cunts do their part in scaring away new players. Don't ever think its just bored kids trolling a server.

Negative, playing pubs will not help you improve. Someone who plays only gathers for a month is likely to improve more than someone who plays only pubs for a year.

i have been playing in pubs for years, within a time span of about 3 months i jumped from pubs to gathers and i didnt really get any better :S so i play in pubs now.. i might consider playing in gathers again soon..

You're thinking about /gmute, that will globally mute a player from sending chat messages. That is admin only, yes. /mute only affects your client.

Yeah, U13 and EnEsCe's. Might even try Fractured's if you dare. For European ones I'd recommend Selfkill, and Leo's if you're into realistic mode.

I've been playing Soldat for about 3 or 4 years but I just cannot play it anymore because of flat out noobs. No, not the people who use M79's, not the sprayers, not the hackers, not the new people.

I can't play because of the idiots who want to argue with you the moment you enter a server. I haven't been able to go one day without getting in an arguement with some noob on Soldat. Normally it's because someone trys to vote me out cause I'm using a "noob weapon" (like deagles). And it's just annoying.

These little babys who whine about m79's and sprayers AND hackers are just becoming flat out ***s. I don't use an m79, I don't spray but I've realized that it's a part of soldat and I've learned to deal with it. I don't hack, but I've learned that argueing with them isn't going to change ANYTHING

All I want is this.. Does anyone know of a perfect, non-public no-noob server I can be apart of? A PM would be nice. R/S used to be my safe zone, but now even that's overrunned with noobs.

urgh.. I'll flat out say it, Soldat has a sucky community. There are a lot of decent core players, but because this is a free-ware game it has a retard community, and I expect that. I understand that the majority of Soldat is 11-15 year old immature punks who still wack off to thoughts of holding some girls hand. I get it. But, it's getting to the point now where I can't even play online without getting frustrated out of my mind!

I'd just like to point out that you are whining about whiney little retarded people, you don't like how soldat is you have 3 options:
1. take a break from soldat, usually when a new version comes out players whine a lot less about each other because they are too busy whining about the balance or some other shit
2. leave
3. suck it up and stay in this little mature community

Welcome to the internet. The majority of online games are largely populated with annoying people and whiners. Aside from leaving the only thing you can do about it is to ignore it. It's not that difficult to do.

if you suck and get your self owned a hundred million times in a gather in a month, it won't make you any better then playing a pub and having a chance. Pubs are like the beginner area, where the advanced leave it and go for a more tactical game.
