I've been playing Soldat for about 3 or 4 years but I just cannot play it anymore because of flat out noobs. No, not the people who use M79's, not the sprayers, not the hackers, not the new people.

I can't play because of the idiots who want to argue with you the moment you enter a server. I haven't been able to go one day without getting in an arguement with some noob on Soldat. Normally it's because someone trys to vote me out cause I'm using a "noob weapon" (like deagles). And it's just annoying.

These little babys who whine about m79's and sprayers AND hackers are just becoming flat out fags. I don't use an m79, I don't spray but I've realized that it's a part of soldat and I've learned to deal with it. I don't hack, but I've learned that argueing with them isn't going to change ANYTHING

All I want is this.. Does anyone know of a perfect, non-public no-noob server I can be apart of? A PM would be nice. R/S used to be my safe zone, but now even that's overrunned with noobs.

urgh.. I'll flat out say it, Soldat has a sucky community. There are a lot of decent core players, but because this is a free-ware game it has a retard community, and I expect that. I understand that the majority of Soldat is 11-15 year old immature punks who still wack off to thoughts of holding some girls hand. I get it. But, it's getting to the point now where I can't even play online without getting frustrated out of my mind!

I play u13 all the time and usually don't get much crap from other players. Anyway any game gets idiots... I just started playing Rakion and in the lobby you can chat with other players... most of the time its trash talk or someone just spamming the crap out of chat window. I have a few suggestions despite that fact:
1. Ignore them, sometimes these guys just want some drama, don't give it to them and that settles that.
2. Don't take anything they say seriously. I love my "*giggles*" taunt for this.... after they say anything that can be used to start an argument I just slap that taunt up there and most of the time the other players get a good laugh and it just blows over.
3. Get access to private servers. Be careful which server you get in though, some people are just annoying all out and will grief you even in a private server.

Believe me I have seen alot worse then the soldat community. I have been banned from another game's forum for voicing a problem that a mass amount of the players wanted fixed but the elitists on the games forums would not allow.

Exactly...it's your fault if you can't help but get in an argument every time you get online. But with that piss poor attitude I kinda see why. You have the option of muting them and not engaging in an argument...if you choose to get into it, that's your problem

i have also played since the 1.1.4 version. I too have seen many more noobs within the last year or so and ive learn to ignore them.

I personally use the !elite servers, and yes there may be noobs but i just dont say anything till i see someone hacking etc.

I used to play gathers in irc but tend to like pubs better ( i dunno why )

and no im not 11-15

(no offense to anyone who is that is mature)

i just play to have fun no matter where i am

I don't know any u13 servers that are ever empty

I rarely have problems in realistic mode. People are constantly complaining about the online community here but on the common realistic servers I'm always on I rarely have problems. I just get on and have fun, even when there are assholes, you can just manually tune them out or use the /mute command and pwn their asses.

I gotta agree with Flab, getting in the right community in irc can get some great games. Might wanna start out in #soldat.forums and look for a game or two there if anyone is around.

Also to Mr. Pants, I just came upon a passworded server, I don't think the people that run it will mind me handing out the password since they plastered it in a pub for all to see.(not for advertising purposes... just a weird story...) Pm me if you want the server info.

no, it just mutes him to you. He can still speak and everyone else will hear him. now that i think about it, if you are admin and you do this will it mute him for all?

are the servers there like the pubs? like do you have 150 ping or less on the average?

Ping is based on your connection and mainly where the server is in relation to you. If you live in America and want to play a chinese server your ping will be high no matter what connection you have.
