Alright, back to Soldat

Hello again I havent been posting recently  because I was playing my 2nd favorite
online game: Runescape. Don't hate me for this eh well I don't care. So whats been happening? I see 1.4 isn't out yet. The  new dragonflies look cool, can't wait.
Well, I'm back to playing Soldat.     

Also, I have heard about a game called Maple Story that looks cool but I'ts like 680MB. Has anybody ever played this game? Is it worth the download?

Hello again. :)

Personally, I seriously disliked Runescape for all of the 15 minutes I played it, but we're (At the very least I will) not really gonna judge you based on that.

I haven't played MapleStory, but I know a few people who do. I can't offer my opinion it.

Oh. Yeah I get it. I didn't see the date Mike posted it. April fools.

So Maplestory isn't any good? Because my computer takes forever to download big files.

Well, it's all subjective. Obviously, people will like things that others won't, or vice-versa. Hell, some people hate Soldat, but that's their personal opinion, and we really can't do anything about it. We could inquire why their opinion is as it is, but it's not like we can or should try to convert them to Soldatism.

Stick with RS and Soldat, I've played all three (RS, Soldat, and Maplestory) and I still play RS and soldat. The download is too long to make Maplestory enjoyable.

I say its great to take breaks from any game you play. THe longer you play just one game the blander it becomes. Keep switching around to keep all your games crispy.

I play a bit of Maple, not as much as soldat now, but i used to play it intensely. It's not too bad, but it does get a bit boring at times... try it out anyway, see if you like it.

Runescape - Fun I gotta admit, I really had fun doing quests and stuff but then I got bored with it since I had done all the quests, had no chance to become a member, had no will to gain more levels because it seemed to take forever and I was kinda repeative after a while.

Maple Story - Whats that?

@ †: Agreed, It I havent played soldat for 2 months until now and I kinda forgot how great it was.
The comeback-ctf matches on pubs just an hour ago were quality fun. : )

Runescape, for me, was all I played in the 2001-2003 years. Thus my name.


Eventually though, I started looking into other games, and I found soldat from one of those games.

It's good to take time off and try different things to keep soldat "fresh".

lawl I has a runescape character with like level 79 mining or something... used to farm gold and sell it on ebay, but now it just sits there with lots of gold, collecting dust.

I played maple story for a long time, it is good at first but it gets boring.My opinion that you try it. ;)

The look of MapleStory just horrifies me to the point of not even playing it. Also, the pages only run with IE and that annoys me.

Runescape was an instant bore the first minute I played it. Never leveled, never went back to the site.

The only other game I play besides Soldat is Fallout 2. I've gotten to a fun little town and I am preparing to mug every person in the town to get supplies and still be the town hero.

Maplestory is utterly boring if you ask me. I played it for a little and just never got into it. I actually got hooked on Dofus for a while, instantly though "I'm going to play this game forever"! Got boring because now it's basically a "If you aren't part of a guild you suck at this game" game.

Sounds like most of you hate it but you also hate Runescape and I love Runescape, so I'm going to download it anyway and give it a try. It should take about 2 hours with my speed of about 150kb per second.

Ehh, IMO runscape is so bad it has torture capabilities. MS I haven't really played, but from what I've heard levelling gets boring and horribly tedious.

I.e, climb for 20 minutes, kill one enemy, get knocked off, fall, die, rinse and repeat.

Of all the online RPGs I've played, I'd suggest Ragnarok Online if you can run it (not too bad if you turn the graphic settings down, though it has the annoying tendency to lag), although I can't really tell you anything about the OFFICIAL server as I, the penny pincher I am, opted out of membership fees and just played a private server...Pretty fun game though, played it and Soldat on and off, then started just playing Soldat.

I've played Maplestory for a pretty good amount. It's alright. The graphics resemble anime so if you're an anime-freak, this is the game for you. I'm not really into anime though but I still played it and it wasn't too bad. I got hooked on it for about a month? Then I took a break from it for a couple months. And then I got hooked on it again for about a week. Now I'm in a state of not playing it. Maplestory is more based around killing monsters and completing quests whereas Runescape is based more around careers and making money, etc.
Just try it out, I think it'll be worth the download.

And welcome back to Soldat :]
To be honest, this is the only game which I haven't gotten sick of for 2 or 3 years.
