No; my laptop runs XP Pro yet it's fast enough to run several Linux/solaris/*bsd vm's at once so they feel native. Best of both worlds: Soldat/games/visual c++ and emulated unix via virtualbox and cygwin.

Seems I got tired of having windows be the native OS. Now it's Linux underneath with seamless windows vm's.

Yeah.

I'm attaching a shot of ubuntu unity, a really interesting mac knock off. (notice the "dock" on the left and how windows' menu bars are in that bar on the top)

Just installed kde 4.6 running on ubuntu 11.04 with virtualbox running windows xp in seamless mode,
I really enjoy kde, older versions much more buggy but now it seems the tables have turned in reference to gnome. Joe, how do you like unity? It made me like twice as slow at actually doing things but I'm curious of your opinion on it.

I honestly don't know how I feel about it. Luckily the latest ubuntu has an option at the login prompt "Ubuntu Classic" so you can choose to use the old gnome if need be. It's certainly interesting and neat.
