I personally believe in camping in a R/S CTF or INF game... Why is it so frowned apon?
It takes a lot of skill and practice to learn how to be an effective camper...

Once on a leo server i killed 27 people without being noticed and 3 EFC... People say that it is cheap... Learn to pay attention to the colours and gunbarrels in the bushes....

What do you guys think?

Yes, I do think it is part of the game. As an R/S player it seems to be quite trivial to me, (as in the fact that I use and see it being used so much) but I understand that Normal mode goes at a different pace, therefore it isn't as welcomed.

I like to camp, I'm new to the game so it's all I can really do. Sure I'll move around a bit, but when in capture the flag your losing really bad, might as well just camp and try to get some kills...Plus, I hate gettin up close, sometimes a guy pops outa nowhere and it just makes me jump lol.

I've been playing for a long time, and I still jump! (well i realistic mode, and that might be my meds...)

But yeah... you'll round out as a player eventually!

I like diversity - some camping (little actually) and some rushing. I myself even camp from time to time (usually only in specific situations). I say, if it's not too out of hand it's fine.

Honestly, I don't mind camping until I get barreted by the same guy 4 or 5 times in a row. Then, it starts to get annoying. To camp, you don't have to be in one single spot, you can camp in different areas of the map. In fact, an effective sniper would move after every shot provided he wasn't noticed.

Yeah, i support camping and even if i get annoyed about being killed continuously by the camper, i don't complain, i just find another way to get to them and kill them. But what i do really hate is the people who bitch and moan "Fuk1inG n00b campz0rz" Man, those people really piss me off. Get over it, it's part of the game.

Camping is part of the game, and i accept that. But when over used (aka all 6 people on kampf are camping on the blue side) then i disagree.

Only reason i agree with camping is because im a relentless ak'er who loves dodging those campers

You know, I find i very amusing that while playing soldat on any given server over half the people there will call campers noobs. Yet on the forums everyone seems afraid to admit it. $:-\$

I never camp on normal mode games apart from maybe an odd ambush every now and then. But in realistic I either totaly rush or I camp for a bit and then advance across the map with my team. On ultra-realistic games like Red Orchestra, camping (to various degrees, not just pure camping) is pretty much how you play unless you are trying to move somewhere (capturing an area etc).
