SoldatPage - Need donations

Donations!
SoldatPage needs your help, to buy a dedicated server from hetzner.de. The dedicated server will be used for new features which are unique to the Soldat community. It'll also expand the clanportals alot. And it will also allow me to rent european Soldat servers at a very cheap price.
Two methods:
1) Send a PayPal donation to DePhille-at-gmail-dot-com , which is by far the most efficient.
2) Click the ads on the left of the page (under the menu) daily.

Both methods will help SoldatPage buying the dedicated server. I'll keep a list on the main page and this topic with the recieved donations and their senders!

BETA-Phase
Big thanks to FliesLikeABrick for providing me temporary hosting until I can afford my own Server. During this fase I will directly write updates for SoldatPage, so some pages might not load from the first time. Also, everyone is welcome to send any type of feedback .
Until I buy the dedicated server there are some limits SoldatPag must stay in:
- Maximum website size of 1024MB (1GB).
- Maximum of 1000 members and profiles.


Other projects
Currently working to get them all back online. I'll make topics in the appropriate sections once they're done.

- Because I lack time and since SoldatPage isn't finished yet I didn't write a good introduction to Soldatpage yet. Hi,

Weird, the site works fine in FireFox here. What Operating System do you have and What version of Firefox is that?

I'm ready with the main script for the webring, I'm currently writing a small script to show which users are currently on the website (Should only take about 5-10 minutes). After that I'm going to start the implementation of the Webring into SoldatPage.

Looks fine in IE though... :X

Crap, I'll download FF 2 because it seems to work fine in FF1 and all other browsers (IE, Maxthon, Opera, ...).

Edit: The messed up look was fixed. There were a total of three problems, 2 of them were the lack of human sense in FireFox and one of them was my fault. I'm not going to explain what exactly the problems were, because it'd just end up filling this topic with a "FireFox vs. The Rest" Discussion. however, if you're intrested you can always send me a PM and I'll explain it completely.

Not yet, working on that at this very moment. Should be fixed within the hour if nothing gets inbetween.

Yeah, you were one of the best map submitters in the old SoldatPage. I'm so sorry that database is lost now, would've put up your data with pleasure again.
I still hope netpub will reply saying that the server will be online next week...

I'm here again with a gigantic changelog .
I've did alot of updates and additions to the website and I thought I'd post them to keep you informed:
Changelog:
- Webring control panel added
- Soldat banners (bottom of page)
- Sponsored banenrs (left of the page)
- A completely new applications section (which is already filled with around 30 apps)
- Map and Scenery uploads fixed
- Screenshots (3MB of space for screens per item!)
- Default soldat maps added (also those of the older versions, like Chernobyl, Crashed, Fall and so on)
- Default Soldat mods added
- Soldat news (+RSS Feeds)
- Gigantic statistics page
- Upload menu in the top bar
- Main page rewritten with a short introduction and map, mod and app spotlights.
- Tools section added (with the PHP INI maker for example)

I hope to implement alot more features in the future, but for that I could use some ideas or feedback.

This way, I'll be able to write alot of new features that demand alot of server capacity, such as the Server Stats Images I promised to Psycho. Also, it'll be the starting sign for the clanportals. There are two ways of donating to SoldatPage:

I've made a starting page for a few sections of SoldatPage:
- Maps
- Mods
- Apps
- Clans
Also, on the main page there are now four buttons referring to each section page mentioned above.

Future updates:
- I'm currently converting the SoldatPage server to a trenchwar server.
- I'm planning on rewriting the map upload scripts.
- The clanbase system will possibly be launched when FliesLikeABrick fixed the server.
- I'm going to implement the SoldatPage Soldat Server into the website soon.
There's alot more to come, but I'm keeping it a secret until I can buy the dedicated server.

Donation status:
Currently I haven't recieved any donations so far. The ads aren't running too well either, so I'm doing another warm invite to help out SoldatPage here.

Updates:
- A donate button.
- A donate page.
- Fixed an error in the map uploading script.
- Added a Soldat Survey (Topic | Link).

Donation status:
Still no donations. However, I still need a few clicks (around 100) on those banners and I an try to put up google Adsense which will hopefully bring in more than the current banners. Clicking each banner everyday takes you a few seconds but helps SoldatPage alot.

I was thinking of setting up a forum, but I think that won't have too much attention.
However, if I need a forum I'll be writing it myself so I can fully implement it as a commentsystem and profiles and such. Also, this would be a great function to expand with the dedicated server. The next week I'll look into the ads and see if I could improve smething to have more income, like changing to Google adsense.

Just so ya know, asking people to click your ads is usually against the terms of service for most ad companies, and they do investigate it. Such as AdSense.

yes, and even if you don't ask people to do it and people like Will do it on their own, that is enough to get you banned from most advertising programs for life ... it happened to me a few years ago :-/

Yeah, I know that .
However, once I reach the payout-amount at tradedoubler I'm switching to AdSense. By then, i will have removed anything that requests the users to click on the banner. Hopefully AdSense will generate more than Tradedoubler.
Tradedoubler however seems to have missed the fact that I daily click my own banners and the request to click on the banners.

There's now also a serverlist and a script that enables you to look for players currently playing Soldat.

PS: Seems like AdSense isn't really generating alot of income .
