UPDATE!: The buggy release of Soldat 1.4 and subsequent U13 server crash means that, for the time being, registration will continue to be open as the current problems with the new version of Soldat would make it difficult to proceed with the tournament at this time. Rest assured that everyone will be given notice when the tournament will be ready to start, and the deadlines of course will be extended to give everyone the same amount if not more time to complete the matches. There are still a few spots left for those interested, and the tournament itself find itself starting mid-May and running throughout June.

Players: Up to 81 in 3 player battles
Server: !Elite Private or !Elite Deathmatch
Time: Deadline Round 1 - May 12, 2007, Saturday, 7 P.M. CST
Time: Deadline Round 2 - May 19, 2007, Saturday, 7 P.M. CST
Time: Deadline Round 3 - May 26, 2007, Saturday, 7 P.M. CST
Time: Championship Battle - May 30, 2007, Thursday, 7 P.M. CST
Registration ends April, 28, 2007 at midnight CST!
Prize: Any current on-line purchasable video game valued at about $50-60US.

This tournament will span across the month of May. Players will be grouped by threes. These groups of players must decide when and what time they wish to have their Rambo match conducted. A server will be readied for the time and day given. An admin must be present. The first player two win two Rambo matches will be declared the winner and advance to the next round. Anyone not present at the agreed upon time forfeits their place in the battle. If no time is agreed upon, the player(s) must be available at the above stated day and time to play, else they will lose the opportunity to participate.

Brackets will be assigned once all slots are filled. To enter, just post in the !EliteCTF.com Rambo Tournament topic that you wish to enter, and I will add you to the list. This list will be randomized for assigning brackets, so don't delay in signing up because you think the person listed before is a threat. Among each three player battle, the first person to score two Rambo Match victories wins and advances to the next round.

The A bracket is filled. There are still 20 B bracket slots and all of the C bracket availabe.

I'm trying to keep the schedule flexible, so basically it's whatever the final group can agree upon before May is over. Same as all battles, if no time can be agreed upon, I can set one and/or just meet on that last Saturday/Thursday listed. The first tournament had a few issues due to people having schedule conflicts or just general time zone problems when trying to arrange a long, one day tournament with people in the U.S. and Europe. This way, you can do one round at a time to make it easier for everyone involved. The only possible problem would simply be those groups not being able to agree upon a time to hold their part.

I hope so. We're at 30 people as of now with another possible 51 spots to fill and about three weeks left to go. I'd like to see them filled completely just to avoid having to tweak the brackets to accommodate fewer entries.

Thanks. We're now at 57 entrants with 24 spots left. Unfortunately, I don't see all 81 slots getting filled being the last day to enter, but it's been a good turn out for a more or less shunned gamemode tournament.
