In responce to SilverFlame's thread, I would like to start an 'Unofficial Soldat Wallpaper' Art Contest! He or She who draws the best Soldat Wallpaper will have their art posted in the Discusions thread as the winner. It might be soldat wallpaper, but hey... you ever look at the Megaman fan sites? I have about 20 fan art wallpapers and some of them are better than actual game art!

Okay... Rules!
1) Dont screenshot a game and post that as an entry. Thats not creative, its a waste of your effort and talent.
2) No profanity. Blood? yes. Swears, nudity and vulgar gestures? no.
3) Please save your art in Imagebucket and post it here using Image Tags. That way, we can see the work and you can save it on the internet. Imagebucket is fast, free and you can use the links they provide for forum posting.
4) Lets set the regualtion size at 800X600. Its small for a 15" moniter, but the winner will have the picture buffed out to the next sizes (1280X768 and 1080X768, if i remember right)
5) Post your name, your email and the Soldat website somewhere on the work so that you dont get sued.

Okay! Lets get this going!

EDIT: I'm smart.... I forgot to say when the decision will be. Well, lets make the final decision May 20th, because its my friends birthday and I'll remember it that way.

I made some using screen from Soldat official site. They are small but if you put 'em for wallpaper and stretch they looks good (checked on 1024x740).

Use Photoshop, GIMP, or any other software (list 1 and list 2).

I've done a montage of my soldat stuff.

Think the colours are too strong and 'busy' for a good wallpaper?

Oooh, and it might be a good idea to put 'Soldat' somewhere....

SDFilm, remove those 5 small images, just leave that large one (2 guys fighting each other). Make a nice background (like that starry sky) and leave the image on the right side of the wallpaper ;] I think that would be much better.

im glad someone made a contest thread in response to my other thread. Every major game has nice wallpapers, why not soldat?

Might as well post this wallpaper I made for that other thread.
This is based on a screenshot from the Soldat homepage. Very nice source material, in my opinion.

I like it. It's got this cold, semi-cell shaded look going for it, and I love the way GIMP did the lens flare. Don't mind the scoreboard.
No super-fast plug-ins or scripts used. Just me playing around with layers and filters,

Though I like these wallpapers so far, Please remember that art is better than screenshoting stuff.

I'm liking SDFilm's work so far and PaFel put in some nice effort!
