Me thinks that the knife throw was planned. You knew exactly where he was and threw the knife. Find one where you are actually playing and you threw the knife.

Nah he was trying to law me and i kept trying to knife him, and just happened to get him at that distance.

Actually it wasn't planned.. I was trying lo law him but we were having fun (just killing eachother) He did know approximately where i was because we were on the same team (friendly fire on) and obviously my name was at the edge of his screen when he threw it.  Funny thing though the knife was so fast that I didn't even see it.

Hmm....probably my longest knife throw is about 20 meters, in some knife only server. I can't do a screen,
and that's kind of embarrassing; but I'm a sneaker, and I don't throw my knife until they're close so I ensure a hit. Works well in R/S too.
