Random Ports wtf!?

i am running my own dedicated server. it works fine, people can connect and play.
although every time i restart the dedicated server, it chooses another random joinport.
so right now, each time i have to restart the server, i need to open new ports.
very annoying.
ive set the joinport and everything in config & soldat.ini, but it still just ignores it.
any ideas? got me a bit confused

This is not the servers doing, this is your routers doing. Some routers are known to do this; instead of mapping WAN 23073 to LAN 23073, they map WAN <random> to LAN 23073.

It might help to post the make/model of your router, so we can look it up and see if we cna do anything.

I've been having the same thing
Problems with random port changes but i don't have to RE-Port foward them...
im using a Actiontec modem from Quest
I don't know the model stuff...bu i was able to port foward with it due to the fact that my friends can join my server...
but i have to go find it...
and put in the NEW RANDOM port in with my 192.168.0.2 or w/e to join it...big hassle

i get same problem but with my IP the first two numbers are always 58.??.??.?? like atm its 58.106.102.204...is there anyway i can make it the same IP all the time???

That's up to your ISP; most of the time there is no way to change that because most ISPs don't allow you to have a static IP without paying extra money (usually for a business plan.) Be aware, that running servers from home connections generally have poor performance, on top of the fact that most ISPs do not allow you to run game servers and if they find out can terminate service to you.
