Okay, I have a logitech gaming 1600 dpi gaming mouse, so I can help you here.

I personally play soldat on 800 dpi with 110 sensitivity. The higher dpi settings make your mouse move faster, so 100 mouse sens at 1600 dpi is like playing at like 200-250 sens ingame (I know it doesn't go that high).

Although I'm not sure, I think most normal mice (cheap Microsoft stuff, etc) are around 200-400 dpi. 800 dpi increases sensitivity quite a bit, so its sorta like playing close to 180 sens on a crap mouse.

I really wouldn't recommend 1600 dpi for soldat, its just over the top.

Some of my friends always adjust their mice to a REALLY high sensitivity - I can't handle it!  I seem to be unable to point to a certain pixel on the screen quickly and it sure as hell would decrease my accuracy.  The biggest problem though IMO is getting used to different mice's acceleration and the like.  I've gotten so used to my wireless mouse's properties that I cannot possibly get used to those gamer's mice :/  So just tweak the acceleration and sensitivity around till you get what you want.
Can't think of anything original to put here...

I'm using a shitty ballmouse @ 40% Sensitivity in Soldat. I must say my aim is quite on spot since I'm so used to this old mouse.

Ugh, I hate ballmouses. My old mouse had all this crap on the bottom of it, everytime you moved your aim it'd **** up. But now i got a wireless laser mouse. Go me.

Anyway, I've got kind've twitchy hands, so I play with like, 40% sensitivity. It stops the aiming thing going whacko. But If you're calmer, then you can play with higher sensitivity.

Ugh, I hate ballmouses.

Yeah, all this dust gathered up my mouse and it would all get jammed up while I'm playing soldat.. I only just got this awesome cheap op mouse.

I never touched nor my computers mouse sensitivity, nor soldats, and I feel pretty comfy with it.

In soldat i prefer a lower sensitivity. I have around 38 i think, my mouse is Logitech MX518 , and my keyboard is some generic one from genius :d. But for 3d shooters i prefer faster sensitivity cause the crosshair is on the same spot all the time.

I've got a general mouse, wich satisfies my gaming needs more than enough.

im still using the optical that came with my PC...think its about 800dpi, and i have my sentitivity set to 10% in the game.

My sensitivity is sent to around 40% and I switch between my old ball mouse that came with my computer and my new laser mouse. At the beginning of playing after a mouse switch, it feels awkward but I easily get used to it.
In my opinion, as long as you get used to whatever mouse/sensitivity you have, all that stuff doesn't matter.

I just bought myself a new mouse a few days ago. It's a really nice Logitech Optic. The new speed and such with this mouse force me to lower my sensitivity so now I use a 10% setting. Feels just like my old 40% with this mouse. I love it.

Have a tough time without them

I second that... Oh yeah it would be hard without a keyboard and mouse though. :P
I never went to soldat options for anything like gamechanging things only name and colors, its funny when you see people called Major or Major(1).

Its good for shooters, FIRST PERSON shooters.

He's right. All those hi-tech "ub3r" fast mice are mainly only for FPS's.
IMO for Soldat a ball mouse could do the job.

Y'know. I keep on hearing people talk about 'Mouse sensitivity'. I have an old Logictech laser mouse, and I've never touched the sensivity in the game, and I do perfectly well.

Is this just me being ingorant, or am I just lucky?
