Failed Flag Caps

What was your most bungled attempt at capping a flag? It could have been messed up by yourself or someone else.

Mine was on |FA|Decaying Zombies, in ctf_Equinox. Me and an M79er (who was a REAL noob) were perched above the zombie base, waiting. He was just firing random nades into the base, and I was waiting for a good cap time. We had several close calls with his nades shooting zombies straight up at us (and a few other players became casualties because of this). Finally, it cleared up some and there were no zombies in the base. Knowing that a respawn might come anytime, I leaped bravely into the base, only to have about 7  zombies and no gunners (lucky f***in me) spawn just as I touched the flag. When I tried to backflip out of the base, that b***h launched a nade into the crowd of zombies, sending four of them up, crowding the upward exit, getting him sawed, and when I got a few feet above the base, the other three flying zombies all pointed their saws down at me, and I had no chance.

That's part of why nades are horrible against zombies.

Dude, not every thread is going to have replies after 2 hours. Relax.

Anyway, one time, I play playing on inf_Fortress on Alpha, and I had the flag. I was just about to cap, and I tried to dive onto the white flag, as I sometimes do when I'm feeling playful.
I missed.
With my pride gone, I tried to crawl it in for the game, hoping to salvage my reputation as a flagrunner.
No dice.
A Bravo came from the direction I was facing and killed me. Fortunately, inf_Fortress is craptastic for Bravo so we won anyway.

Iam always so unlucky when it comes to cap for a win or important cap in cw i have the flag i run like hell 2 guys behind me i jump to the falg to cap and i miss it and guys thrw like 5 nades i lucily survive and then a guy with spas fires at me and i couldnt cap becuse it pushed me away and iam dead  grrr

I hate spas, mainly because I suck at it and it's a sawer's worst nightmare.

I was playing with my clan members and a few randoms in ga inf 2 (couldn't be bothered booking a server) saw only. 3 on 3. On the way to the black flag,I killed all three of the bravos and capped the flag, at that moment, a major joined and leapt after me with a spas in his hand. So there we were leaping back to the base, Major waiting to pull off the perfect shot.

My team mates were low so I wasn't getting any help. They were all yelling 'SAW ONLY!!111!1!1' but he wouldn't listen.

As I ran,The white flag came closer and closer, I knew he was going to shoot just before I scored. **** it, I flung around, clicked down, supermanned damn fast towards him I was about a pixel away then BANG! I was pushed waay bak and on my stomach on the ground. My jet had run out and I was just crawling towards him my jetpack still puffing out bits of jet. He shot me over and over after watching me for a while. I was watching my respawn time count and could still hear him shoot my soldat's dead body over and over again. I sat in my chair twitching with rage, I slowly pressed esc and left..

That match really got to me...

It's a pain in the ass reading this, because there is literally no punctation in it.

I was like 5 CM from my flag (I was with enemy flag) so I wanted to cap.

The flag suddenly dissapeared. No cap, no flag.

Same thing was today, but I was in the middle of map and it has just gone. No kill, no flag no anything -_-'

Whenever I manage something like a triple kill and have the flag and then get slaughtered by the respawns.

I also don't like it when our base is under attack and I save my teammates, then I run to get the flag. They're all respawning. They're on to me, I have the flag and my only hope of survival is to run. I'm halfway when I'm parted by a bullet.

The flag flies forward, maybe my team can grab it.

I respawn and my team has gone forward like 5 meters.
