The Gaim library libpurple has already been used for such things. It's a matter of figuring out the interface, and of course time and agreement on MM's part.

Well i must agree with elephant hunter that mIRC isnt that common and about the lobby idea i find it very usefull
funnily enough hacks can be put on all of those as well -_-

one posibility is to intigrate a IRC client into soldat lobby and have it join a chan #soldat.lobby or something on Qnet (as Qnet is where most soldateers hang out)How hard it is to integrate it into the Interface I have no clue to, but I doubt it can be that hard...And coding a basic one chan IRC client isnt hard Just a thought.
