Soldat Translator
« on: April 12, 2007, 11:42:42 am »
Ok, I've started making a Soldat Translator. It will let you easily translate Soldat text files (default, taunts, weapon names, etc.).
Here's how it looks:

It will have these futures:
  • creating new textfiles
  • opening existing ones
  • program shows you original line, current line in the file and you will be able to edit that line
  • jumping through line numbers or going through them by buttons next and back
I'm using Delhi 7. I ain't a good programmer, but it's just a good practice for me to improve my programming skills ;D

HEX: This program opens the file and displays the line which the user must translate, it's not something that automaticly translates your soldat.

A good idea to make such a program, especially because the 1.4 translation file has been released.
It'd be extremely handy if you added some 'templates'.
In this case you can compare three language files: The template, the opened language file and the one you're making with the program. Just download some language files from the last 3 versions or so, including the new one for 1.4 and put them inside your program.

Grtz, DePhille
This signature was broken. Feel free to fix it.

Ok, the program is done, I just need to finish information and help file. Also, there might some problems with Unicode, but I will try to fix that.

DePhille, I'll think about that ;]
