ahaha, I notice that everything you love is OUTSIDE of the map. Gameplay looks fine, looks are good (like usual). Overall a good map. is it waypointed?

Nope, waypointing takes me a disgustingly long time, and I do a mediocre job. And the pirate ship is accessable.

Good job, Wraithlike! :) Although, I suspect that you read my post in the Infamous Forums about a ship-themed map. L_L
And that pirates will only raid bigger villages. Other than all that, you have a disturbing infatuation of squids, bloody teddy bears, and pirates.

Excellent Job

Map looks great. I love that pirate ship and the other sea related objects.

Gameplay looks fun.

Oh, man. That looks AWESOME. Downloading. (HTF version only, of course ;p)

EDIT As usual, a little too much third-party scenery for my taste... heh

From what I can tell from the overview it looks like a good map, but...I didn't think squids stuck that half of their body out of the water?
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams it is
still a beautiful world.  Strive to be happy.

Can you prove this?

@Wraithlike: Is that tiny little tunnel the only way to get to the ship?

This looks The layout is strikingly similar to VTT's Limbo, excluding that pirate ship.

Tell me before I rape you, Wraithlike: Was the layout Limbo-inspired?  Not very original, man.  :-\

I don't see that, except that the styles are slightly similar.

I think you're a great mapper and probably my favorite, but I'd love to see some more done with this theme as right now, it just looks like the typical DM/HTF style map (albeit really nice looking) with some pirate boat and squids tacked on. Why not make the boat the central focus of the map, using it for the environment? You could have a giant squid's tentacles wrapped around the boat trying to drag it under for a neat effect.

The building in the rock was inspired by limbo, because origionallt it was simply boulders, but I wanted to spice it up, but the layout was just me going with the flow. I start my layouts with just large angular blocks, so I can't really judge how it will turn out as I build it.
