Hot Fuzz
« on: April 21, 2007, 01:58:13 pm »
Any of you guys see Hot Fuzz on its release date? (4/20) I got a chance to see it and man...I have to say it was funny as crap. It has those stupid funny moments like in Shaun of the Dead  and also has this priest loaded with twin mini-pistols (for lack of the right gun term...) on his wrists..pretty hilarious.

So, anyone have the good fortune to see this flick? Tell me what you think.

I saw it a while back, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are just a great duo. Look for zombie references in this movie, since Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are zombie lovers. When you said "1/2" did you mean Shaun on the Dead 1 and 2? Because I know they did not make a sequel.  However Simon and Nick did make a short about zombies. You might be able to find it on youtube.

I think he may have meant the first half of the movie; I love how Shaun of the Dead started out sort of poking fun at Zombie movies and then shifted over and actually became a normal Zombie movie. It was the same with Hot Fuzz, it kind of became the movie it was making fun of and the transition worked perfectly.

I thought the mine part where the guy accidentally triggers it was hilarious. And then the part where they ask the guy if he has a license for his gun and he responds "Only this one." Then they walk into his shed nearby to find he has like every freaking gun available on the market, including that fatty underwater mine. I lol'd right about there.
