I will seed on my super fast university internet!  I've gone away from a torrent for a few hours before and came back to find I shared 10gB.  I'm thinking a torrent is the best way to go.

Quote
1) It saves Michal money
2) It saves me and everyone else who hosts a mirror money
3) by downloading it with the torrent, you'd be helping out everyone else downloading it via the torrent
4) torrents motivate internet service providers to improve the quality of their network, especially when it is used for legal purposes like this
5) downloading it via torrent will be much faster than using a direct download link.  Since MM has announced the release time, the direct download mirrors are going to be really, really busy as soon as the direct downloads are up.  With torrents, everyone downloads faster if there are more people downloading and seeding.

Good point...

Ill try it, but if it takes too long, then, im gonna change to mirror.

Yup, I downloaded the link FLAB posted and it was extremely fast.
Nothing to worry about to be honest.
I'll definitely use a torrent to download 1.4 as soon as it comes out =]

1. Opera has a torrent client built-in. Opera downloaded this file, because your server says it's a zip file not torrent.
2. Configure your server properly... torrent files should have application/x-bittorrent MIME type, not application/zip.

Opera shouldn't download torrent file like a zip file. It wouldn't happen if the file had application/x-bittorrent MIME type. I hope FliesLikeABrick will fix his server configuration.

If the torrent for 1.4 will appear as a .zip file and ppl get confused I can upload a "fixed" version if i'm not sleeping when it's released.

Anyway Opera users can download the file and simply open the copy saved on your computer - it should start BitTorrent download.

I'll download torrent which will be shown as zip. Then I'll turn uTorrent on and in uTorrent I'll choose Soldat torrent which is shown as .zip. Then I'll download it. There's no problem ;]
