It was okay. AS I expected, just like Sin City (from the same creator). It's a good show to watch for the action but, like the new King Kong, the CG is so grotesquely realistic, I doubt I'll see it again. Plus there's something about watching 300 mostly-naked greeks in skimpy underwear that makes you feel really gay.

Many reviews I saw for it were less than flattering, describing it as a meaningless gore-fest and a pathetic use of history to create a bland excuse of a movie that appeals to bloodthirsty teen's that want cheap fighting and effects. Not that I agree with them of course. I've noticed a sudden influx of 300 quotes in the public servers to. It's all "This is Sparrtaaa!" this and "This is madness!" that. iPod, it's unfortunately stereotypical that the fighting is designed to attract male viewers and the well oiled torso's of 300 men are designed to attract female viewers. It appeals to both genders and covers a wider market or something like that (I dropped business studies)

I think the version I was dragged to was the "california" version. All I saw was a bunch of seemingly homo guys, some of them 8 feet tall, some of them with 1 eye, some of them with 1 eye much larger than the other and a body looking of big league chew.

Why the fuck do all movies these days have that bitch goin "uhuuuuhhhh uhhhhhhh, aaaaaaayhhhhhh uuhhhhhhh" for no particular reason? It's getting goddamn annoying.

I liked it, but it wasn't so good on the story. Action was kick ass though.

I was in love after seeing it. I gotta say though...the women's nipples in that movie were like marshmallows, rofl. I was like "uhh wtf?" And yea about halfway through this guy walks down the aisle next to me (i was on the end) and raises a toy spear and yells "HARU!" and "HAIL TO OUR LEADER!" and then a bunch of like 10 year olds run in with the spartan outfits on and start cheering at Leonidas and "haru"ing some more. I was about to leave until I saw the phalanx formation near the end and wanted to stay to see how it would play out...I know the spartans lost in history, but I wondered if they would make the ending a bit more heroic, just like it ended up being.

Horrible ratings online...I think they didn't do the movie justice. I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars because of how the CG blood sorta was...globule and sorta repetitive, like it was always the same blood globs spewing with the slow-motion fighting sequences, and of course the grotesque looking nipples...bah.
