Weapon modes

I think that you will like this idea, because it was used in many good shooters.

Weapon Modes

They could be changed by single button. Easy to use and cool :)

They are just 2 modes of fire for (almost) every weapon. Except the original ones (modes), I think of something different for each weapon. Here are my propositions:

Desert Eagles: single, faster shot

MP5: bigger damage, but fire rate reduced to 1/2

AK-74: weaker bullets (maybe slower a bit) but faster fire rate

Steyr AUG: fire rate reduced to 1/2, 150% of normal damage, 1,33 SCOPE like in Barret

SPAS-12: I have 3 ideas here.
a) Single, powerfull bullet (only one, but not too powerfull like one-shot-killers)
b) Little cluster grenade (not too powerfull, max 40% damage on non-real mode)
c) Faster shooting, but less pellets per shot

Ruger77 - a scope (but like 1,20), maybe less damage per shot, BIT more accurate, bigger selfbink while running (MovementAAC?)

M79 - 2 smaller, weaker grenades, that won't kill in 1 direct shot (even in Real mode)

Barret - weaker bullets (45% on non-real), smaller MovementAAC, a bit better rate (like 2 seconds)

Minimi - Less accurate bullets, but better fire rate

Minigun - No idea XD I don't use it

Pistol (SOCOM) - no good idea. It is good as it is

Knife - ... a mode to a KNIFE?

Chainsaw - you want to cut a tree or what? :D no mode

LAW - it is cool as it is...

Grenades - they are quite well balanced

Other weapons like Bow and Flamer - no mode I think

What do you think about it? It is hard to do (quite hard to write it in any programming language), but it would be cool if there would be wapon modes.

You're making this point:

Getting rid of one D'eagle so that your Soldat can handle the recoil better.

Switching out your 9mm Parabellum MP5 for a .45 ACP one.

Switching your Ak-74 for a REAL one.

Turning the Steyr into an automatic sniper rifle.

Using different rounds for Spas: Lockbuster, Rifle grenades, and Flechettes, respectively.

Ruining the Ruger by making it take longer to kill someone.

Taking out the HE grenade from the M79 and turning it into nothing more than a smoke grenade.

Nerfing the Barret even further.

Destroying the very thing that makes me use the Minimi: Accurate Spraying.

Making the minigun own all guns because you haven't modded it.

And leaving the sidearms crappy, with no way to match up with the primaries.

Make up some better ideas.

I don't think it can be done.

Don't say that you're Magic. Because you aren't, and I am.
All-around good with weapons that aren't long range, except in TW.
Now be careful out there, soldier.

There's a stickied topic in this section titled The Official Suggestions Sticky - Read before posting!.
I don't think you read it thoroughly enough.

An account system, a Counter-Strike style money system, soldier classes, alternate weapon functions, death from existing wounds (None of these will ever be implemented because any would forever ruin the arcadey, nostalgic simplicity of Soldat which makes it so popular, aside from the massive coding time)
