Help me creating a new game type.

There are many variations of soldat out there.... climb maps, race maps, dodgeball maps, cs maps, football maps.... all that stuff.

but there is one missing.

There is no Trenchwar Server.

and that's going to change. i will buy me a server with only trenchwar maps and realistic ctf mode. but for that, i will need your help. there is only one really good trenchwar map out there so far, which is ctf_complex9 by Boxo.

I want you! Make me some nice trenchwar maps! I will take good works and upload it to my server, and the author's will get admin there.

here are the basic rules for creating a trenchwar map.

1. Only one way. (small short tunnels allowed.)
2. Flag Spawns are closer to the middle of the map than Player spawns, like on b2b.
3. the maps are veeeeery flat. only small hills and trenches for cover, and not much height difference over the whole map.
4. they should be filled with small bunkers, and tactical towers.
5. Almost no jet! Even less than cs maps.
6. no big buildings, mostly all action should go on outside.

Yea, this idea is great! Back to world war uno! Has anyone seen Boxo around lately? Cause it would be nice if he could help too.

cant wait to see... it better be R/S too... and maybe increase all damage... so anything really hurts...

I don't think they need a new prefix, you could go with ctf_, and after a bunch of maps come together, you could do a mappack.

It would also be awesome with reversed flag positions too. WW2 style!

A prefix would be helpful. Like in other "pseudomodes" - db, kz, rce...

what about hide and seek soldat?

what about escaping or puzzle soldat?

dont concentrate on some trenchwar maps....

think about it, there can be something more interesting made than umm trenchwars, but a good idea nevertheless.

Anyways, everybody has a different taste. Vigg may not like it, but I and many other people do. If someone doesn't understand how this can be fun, go play Boxo's complex9 first.

I may help ye out, but I still don't support a seperate prefix.

Mainly, because then it would go into a different section of the forums, and not in the 'Flag maps' part. Which is bad.

There are other worlds than these
