Rise in INF popularity
« on: June 30, 2006, 12:27:11 am »
Is it me, or is INF getting really popular now. Personally INF and CTF are my two favorite gametypes. And INF is prolly a little more fun for me. But everytime i go to play all the game are filled up. Like a month or two ago, the U13 INF would have like a 2v2 going, once in a while a decent crowd, and now its always full. Fractured is constantly filled as well. I geuss this is just one INF fan excited about the rise of a good gametype! ;D
Your acting like your having a duel and your opponent gets a pistol and you get a spork.
Isn't that pretty much what it is? I dunno wtf a spork is, I suppose it's way weaker than the pistol since you compared that to this.

Well, players attract players. I don't think there's a general rise in INF interrest. Besides, I think the different game modes just have their times.. Then again, who knows. Maybe people just got a little fed up with CTF all the time. Perhaps it is time to change the server into TDM or something new. Add a few bonuses to it all.
I fucking miss all you cunts!

Expect an INF server from Mr. Charles (filled with custom maps) in the future.

You know what sucks? As much as i know, there are only 2 realistic inf servers. I mean, whats the point of inf when you can clearly see when an enemy is crouching in a tunnel below you? I never play INF on any other server than Leo`s, cause its realisitic there.

Not everyone like realistics. I for one, hate it.

I have noticed a rise in inf popularity, and a decrease in dm popularity. Theres never anyone in there anymore. :(

If anything, i've noticed a huge rise in rambo popularity, specially in the GameArena server.

Maybe it's getting more popular in your country, on non-polish servers, but not here.

Hmm, I have only played it on single player with bots lol. So I suppose I will go check it out right now (non-realistic mode).

Thank you very much Nick for this userbar!! <3

I think I've played it maybe four or so times, including just a bit ago due to this thread. Is it me, or does Alpha spawnkilling the defending Bravo team seem wrong? I hate spawn killing period and think it's cheap, but someone kept doing it, swearing he's just "creating a diversion." Granted, the team stunk enough to let it continue, but is this something INF players accept as part of the game?

in poor servers there are alot of spawncampers. In U13 INF (which is my fav. server) it isnt bad.

Who else thinks that realistic is essential in inf?

I mean, usually, all inf maps have narrow tunnels somewhere low for some quiet in-sneaking. They become pointless when its not realistic. The whole point of inf is for the alpha to SNEAK into the bravo teams base, not just blindly runa dn rush.

I like INF alot, it's just that sometimes playing the same maps over and over is boring.

I agree Zam. Not many people bother to make maps, and on u13 its the same 3 or 4(i cant remember) over and over.
