Also, about those Stanley Baret chronicles you say you wrote, post links to them or they never existed.
Am I a bad person for laughing at this topic?
I'm one of the people who looked at the changelog before I downloaded. Many of the fixes and additions were met with smiles or at least vaguely appreciative glances. Infact, this actually sounded like a great update, which was a refreshing change for me. Until...Quote from: Michal Traitorkowski on April 28, 2007, 09:58:18 pm- Fixed Barrett typo (not changed in weapons.ini for compatibility)...What the **** were you thinking, MM?Every time I opened Soldat, I, like millions of others, would look forward with childlike glee at the prospect of reading "Barret M82A1" on the weapons list. Heretics would claim it's actually a misspelling of "Barrett," the last name of the proprietor of Barrett Firearms co., but I knew better. The Barret was infact an entirely different gun (hence the wild discrepancies when comparing it with a real Barrett) by an entirely different manufacturer, Barret's Awesome Guns Inc., owned by an entirely different man, Stanley Barret. The Barret was the soul of Soldat; the only gun not based off an already existing one. There were even some stories I wrote chronicling Stanley Barret's childhood, adult life, and his company. Why the **** would you change the Barret to an existing gun, Michal? Why?? It was the only thing separating Soldat's setting from that of every other ****ty shooter out there. Now, all that we have is a stereotypical weapon lineup and a game universe with no soul. You've broken my heart, Michal. **** you.**** 1.4. I quit Soldat forever.
Only half of the people here understand the satire behind this thread. Voltaire, where have you gone?
