Tracer fire
« on: June 30, 2006, 05:42:07 am »
How many people use it instead of the regular gray/yellow looking bullets?

Ive kept a tiny bit of yellow at the back so that its a bit more vivid and incase there is a map with a red background.

These are with about one pixel of yellow at the back plus the gray. You may want to put some yellow or white pixels at the front or back of the racers so they stand out more in darker maps.

The regular bullets already seem enough like tracer bullets to me.

I've never considered changing the color or even thought of it... but I might now.

Some maps with gray backgrounds make it really hard to see the bullets, especially on LCD displays and even moreso on slow ones.  I may just intentionally change the color now that you've presented the idea to me :D

Nothing special. and I would edit myself it i wanted different color bullets.

Thats why I have not added a download link and its in General Discussions rather than Partial Modifications.  ::)

You should have different colored tracers- green, red, and yellow.

At the moment ive just got red with a tiny bit of yellow for my FN Minimi.

I was thinking of having colour coded tracers for each weapon so I know what spray is being fired at me (if its not obvious from the sound and rate of fire), but it might look like an annoying laser show and I normaly only use the FN Minimi anyway.

OMG i cant beleive you brought this up, cause i made my MP5 fire red tracer bullets a while back lol. I thought i was alone on this

EDIT: i forgot to give you an E-Highfive *slaphands*  ;D
Your acting like your having a duel and your opponent gets a pistol and you get a spork.
Isn't that pretty much what it is? I dunno wtf a spork is, I suppose it's way weaker than the pistol since you compared that to this.

Woah, good idea actually.

Changing the tracer's to show what gun is shooting at you is really quite ingenious and can certainly give a tactical advantage, although many other mods do similar things already.
