Problem:

Access vilation at adress 004DC742 in module 'Soldat.exe'. Read of address 00000000.

..? Can't play (1.4)
I already tried re-installing and downloading full file, not patch.

might have something to do with graphics card. if its a rather old one for example.

try some things:
* set desktop color depth (windows) to 16bit
* update gfx drivers to latest
* update direct x to the latest (?)
* check video compatibility mode in config.exe

The only way I could get around this issue was to:

1. Check 16 bit
2. Select 640x480
3. Turn OFF antialiasing AND dithering
4. Turn ON video compatibility
5. Turn OFF force software
6. Turn OFF ATI fix.
7. Run in full screen mode.
