Without chaos, order is hell.

My ten cents.

I don't think you've been around the forums long enough to know what happens when the forums become too relaxed.  Gram is not on a power trip, he simply does his best to keep you all from ruining the forums.

It's a very difficult game of balance between leniency and strictness that we play -- especially in the Lounge and especially because most of you complain about locked threads when we, through experience, know those threads will result in nothing but spam.

To be honest, if he didn't do the things he did, I'd pick up the slack and become the strict moderator because I know how much of a spam-fest the Lounge becomes every single time he takes a little vacation.

Otherwise you'd all have to deal with the people who think it's funny to spout random posts and tasteless jokes every chance they get (and there are pages upon pages worth -- we keep records of everything).

So chill out, cut the guy some slack, and do your best to create posts that are intelligent or, at the very least, somewhat worthwhile so we don't have to moderate.

I think you mis-interpreted it.

I said that without chaos, order is hell.

Not the other way around.
